I would to take a moment to say ‘Hello’ to all the new followers, supporters and all the amazing people who have taken the time to email me over the last few months. Your words and interest are massive boost and motivation to keep going on this challenging project. I’m very aware that there have been no updates here for a long time and I just wanted you all to know what you can expect in the coming months.
In 2014 I collected a dozen wonderful stories about bears and my plan in the new year is to edit these and get them up on the website. My only barrier to this is that I recently ran out of hard drive space and simply can’t afford a new one at the moment. I’m working hard to raise the funds but its taking some time (life goes on and bills keep rolling in). That said I am very excited to share them, there are stories of bears on beaches, bears in houses, a very funny story about a bear running on a walking trail, some wonderful insights into lives lived alongside bears and some truly inspiring and heart warming tales from those who have been lucky enough to watch the same bears each year for years on end.
I also have some great footage from the trail cameras which will be edited into a short film, if you enjoyed the GoPro footage recently you are in for a treat.
I’m also busy writing, trying to make this Ph.D worthy while at the same time accessible to a wide audience (more on this in the future, fingers crossed).
For now I will leave you with the follow up footage from the day the bear stole my GoPro. Thank you for watching.
John
